Gigatent Dual Identity - Model SHT 007 Review

Awkward to set up, given that the instructions are unclear about how to stabilize it before staking it out and how to keep insects out.FYI it does NOT have a bottom, just flaps.Thought you might like to know, since the photo makes it appear that it DOES have a bottom, and there is no metion in the product description to suggest otherwise.In addition, we had to add an extra tarp with more elaborate staking on top of the 'rain fly" to keep the rain out.Oh and btw, the stakes that come with it, are those crappy, yellow plastic ones--they are hard to get in the ground and they BREAK when you're trying to remove them.Another low quality point, the poles are raw metal on the bottom, no finished caps, so they cut into the grass and fill up with dirt and mud (in addition to leaving divets in your grass lawn.) We're really dissatisfied and would send the thing back if it wasn't such a hassle/shipping charges, etc. I definatley would not call it the "The Next Level in Camping" as the slogan suggests.That's what we get for buying this sort of equipment online. South Carolina Gamecocks Classic Fleece Review

The item description isn't exactly accurate.This is a VERY light-weight fleece, don't expect much warmth from it, and don't expect it to wash well.The Gamecocks emblem is cheesy looking, nothing like the picture shows.I have since seen this locally at sports stores and it sells for almost half the price sold here.I would NOT recommend this to anyone wanting a quality fleece.

QuikShade Summit 233 Canopy Review

When I first spotted this canopy in a sporting goods store, i loved the idea of lots of shade coverage with one canopy.Unfortunately, a single shot of wind on our first outing broke the frame.We have zip tied the frame together and the canopy will still work but it needs to be anchored down with ties on each corner to prevent additional breaking with the least amount of wind.If you remember to anchor each corner with rope from the beginning you will probably be fine and I do love the coverage and option to close the sides.It's a great unit as long as there is no breeze.

Toyotomi TAD-T32G Portable Air Conditioner (Dual Hose, 12000 BTU, 400 Sq. Ft. Max) Review

I have bought two of these units for my work, and they are currently pumping away full blast in the hot New York summer. They are most likely close to their rated BTU/hr (10,000 for the older ones, 12k for the current model). They are keeping close to 2,000 square feet (with 14' ceilings) cool as I write this.

On their third summer of use, I really have nothing bad to say about these units, so here is the good stuff:

*The remote is RF, so it works through walls, and snaps nicely on the top of the unit.
*Powerful cooling, unlike a lot of other portable units that don't even come close to their rating.
*Dual duct system might seem awkward, but using fresh air across the condenser coil improves efficiency and power.
*Condensate is vented through the exhaust, unless you turn on de-humidify mode, in which case you can hook up a hose or empty the tank.
*Options of HAF/Charcoal filter which is easy to install.
*Solid Japanese construction.
*Really good quality hoses that hold their shape when you bend them.
*Nice PVC window mount system with grates and caps included.

In the city these ran around $600-$700, they are currently $449 direct from Toyotomi.

Would definitely recommend as the best portable AC after a lot of research.

Coleman Pack-Away Table for 4 Review

I've been doing A LOT of research into a folding table and chair set for my family when we go outdoors for hiking, camping, etc.This table set has satisfied all my requirements.It is very easy to assemble and is sturdy once it is up.I love that we no longer have to hunt for an empty picnic table when we go out that is usually really dirty with bird droppings and bugs and whatever was left over from the last people who used it.Now we can set up our table wherever we want (and get a great view!) and have a clean place to sit and enjoy our meal or to relax and rest.This set holds our family of two adults and two small children very well although I'm sure it would work just as well with 4 adults.I love the extra padding on the benches which make them that much more comfortable.The only small complaint I have is that the table top cannot accommodate all our dishes.It can only hold our plates and cups and a pitcher but that is to be expected with it being compact enough to carry.Overall, I would highly recommend this table set and so far we have been very happy with it.
