I purchased this for my three kids: a girl (6), a boy (3) and a baby girl (9 months).We received it over a week ago, and it's still the number one toy in our house.It took around 20 minutes to set up the first time with two adults and two wee "helpers."I'm sure it will take even less time next time we set it up, now that we're familiar with all the parts and where they go.I love this product because it provides a medium for creative, interactive play, especially between my older kids.They play in it for hours on end, constantly imagining different scenarios.
The little peripherals (flowers, chimney, awnings, etc.) get thrown around a lot, but it's not hard to gather them in when it's cleanup time.
The baby loves this house, too, and loves to practice her standing and chewing on the walls.The circle punch-outs in the centers of the flowers are a bit of a choking hazard, so I clear those out when she's around.I also try to keep her from chewing on one place for too long, as she could potentially chew a piece off (although she hasn't yet because it's very sturdy foam).
The house is quite durable for a foam product.Both my kids have tried to climb on top of it, and although it buckled a bit and the pieces popped out of place, it's still standing and none the worse for the wear.
Once we've had our fill, I'll collapse it back down (it came with a nifty storage case), and plan to store it under the baby's crib until it's been away long enough to be fun again.
One last note- it does NOT stink.I was so worried it would have a horrible plastic smell that you sometimes get with foam products, but definitely no observable odor!
